7th APSMER/ISME Regional Conference in Asia-Pacific Region,2009

Since 1997, the Asia Pacific Symposium on Music Education Research has been a forum for the dissemination of new scholarship relating to music teaching and learning. One of the central missions of APSMER is to facilitate exchange among researchers from the Asia Pacific region as well as between the Asia Pacific and global research communities.

All scholars are invited to share new research in music education, particularly that relevant to the social, educational and cultural context of Asian Pacific nations.

In 2009, APSMER will come to Shanghai, the largest city in China and one of the most important centre of commerce and finance in the world. The 7th APSMER is hosted by Shanghai Conservatory of Music, the oldest institution of higher learning of music in China. It cultivates numerous outstanding students and renowned at home and abroad.
